Laminates & Substrates
All standard Fluidconcepts laminates are available in two options: TFL (Thermofused Laminate) or HPL (High Pressure Laminate). We use ¾" and 1" thick materials for both worksurfaces and storage components.

TFL (Thermofused Laminate)
TFL is made by bonding decorative paper to particleboard or MDF using heat. It’s finished on both sides for stability and commonly used for worksurfaces, storage cases, and fronts.

HPL (High Pressure Laminate)
HPL is more durable and impact-resistant than TFL, making it ideal for high-use environments like schools and institutions. It’s made by pressing multiple layers of paper together under high pressure and is often used on worksurfaces or storage fronts where extra durability is needed.

Grommet Colors
Each laminate finish comes with a default grommet color. While you can request a different color, you can [click here] to view the standard grommet colors by finish.
Note: Treo units always come with black grommets, regardless of the finish.
