500 Workstations. One Very Fluid Move.

When a California headquarters needed a new home, this wasn’t a case of pack, move, repeat. It was an opportunity to rethink how 500+ people work and make every square foot work harder.

Moving a corporate headquarters is a big undertaking. Moving one while creating 500+ curvilinear workstations, 85 private offices and 19 executive offices? That takes planning, partnership and office furniture solutions that know how to flex.

For this project, Fluidconcepts worked alongside our incredible dealer partner, Pacific Ergonomics, to create a workplace that feels considered from every angle — literally.

Curved workstations bring a softer, more organic flow to the open plan while giving employees plenty of personal workspace. Integrated power and cable management keep the cords under control. Acoustic elements help manage sound. And department-specific colours add personality and wayfinding without shouting for attention.

Beyond the open plan, the project extended into 85 private offices and 19 executive offices, creating a cohesive workplace experience across different teams, roles and ways of working.

When the Space Throws You a Curve, You Design Around It.

Columns, varying office footprints and the realities of an active construction site meant this project needed more than products pulled from a catalogue. It needed flexibility, smart thinking and a team willing to make the furniture work for the space, not the other way around.

Custom configurations allowed the workstations, private offices and executive spaces to respond to the architecture while still creating one connected design language throughout the headquarters.

That’s where Fluidconcepts feels right at home.

And perhaps our favourite part of the story? After a 14-month project, the new headquarters was completed under budget and two weeks ahead of schedule.
